Glutathione and its Best Sources

A human body is apparently what supports the life of a person and to some extent, this is quite true. However, it too, works on the same trend as everything else in the world and that is of giving and taking. Where a body is all what the life of a person seems to begin from and depend much on, it also expects much from a person. All that is expected by a human body is management of good health. This is provided to the body in many ways. Since forever, mankind has done much to take care of his health. Back in the day, it was the healthy diet but today, a healthy life is all about supplementary pills.
The trend seems to have changed greatly but is not a negative one. It is pretty normal to use any kind of supplements or health foods provided one uses them in the right way. There are many supplements that require being used along with a healthy exercise regimen while others are safe for general use by everyone. Similarly, most health foods require a good amount of water be taken with them while others are used in general routines. Talking of supplements, what come to mind are; the multi-vitamins, protein-rich pills and essential oils. One of the most important and largely promoted nutrients, of which, the supplements are now largely available, is glutathione. According to modern research, it has been termed as the major and most important antioxidant in the human body and has been named as the Master Antioxidant. Glutathione has also been enlisted amongst the 14 Superfoods which were mentioned in the book SuperFoods Rx: Fourteen Foods That Will Change Your Life. This antioxidant forms naturally inside the body and is made up of a combination of three amino acids namely; glycine, cystine and glutamate. Chemically, it is a simple molecule but extremely powerful when it comes to its anti-oxidizing properties.
Glutathione is not only the most powerful and chemically active anti-oxidant in the human body but actually is the driving force for all other antioxidants working inside. Owing to unhealthy eating habits that people have today, required levels of this simple molecule are not being maintained. However, people are not to be blamed as it is all due to changed lifestyles and increasing workloads. There are many types of foods which people can use in order to raise the declining levels of glutathione from the body. Some of these include; farm produce such as milk, cheese, chicken, beef, pork, mutton and other kinds of meat. In addition to this, vegetables such as collars greens, cabbages, tomatoes, potatoes, broccolis, garlic, cauliflower, onion, spinach and asparagus as well as fruits such as grapefruits, avocados, peaches, watermelons, strawberries and oranges can be used for this purpose. Some herbs such as milk thistle, silyarmin and cumin along with spices such as cinnamon, turmeric and cardamom are also excellent sources of this SuperFood. Glutathione is found in many kinds of foods which also include various types of nuts and if possible, eating nutrition wise can help one maintain the required levels of it.
The required levels of glutathione can also be brought through the use of supplements. Since its discovery, it has been largely manufactured industrially and is easily available in the form of pills and tablets. With a doctor’s advice, the right kind of supplement can be bought home, a SuperFood gained and excellent health ensured.
